Can you crunch Terabytes in milliseconds?
Innovators in data-heavy fields like energy, scientific research, financial analysis, media and content developers require compute intensive infrastructure. I have also come to realize that low latency networking and very high bandwidth are often just as critical. In these situations I rely heavily on Platform as a Service, specifically Azure capabilities. For an online stock trading ISV, I moved one such compute intense application to Windows Azure. The movement of the computations of the core algorithm to Windows Azure reduced the simulation time by over 50% at a fraction of the cost. This enabled the customer to reduce burn rate of their VC funding and scale sales and marketing.

Trading Technologies

One of the simulation products of Trading Technologies required heavy computational power for specific periods, and then would go to an ‘idle state’ of minimal usage. We architected the product in such a way that the heavy computations were moved to cloud – ensuring the requisite scalability.

National Instruments

National Instruments wanted a system that could capture sensor data and do computations on it and then deploy it to the developer for creating applications. We helped in development and deployment of the application on Windows Azure.
