We help our customers build software for their customers. Over 110 million users use products that we have built everyday across the world. At a crux of our effort is a focus on usable experience design. Usable products that are worthy of a ‘wow experience’ are always built around insights of how end customers actually use them. Over 15 years of engaging end users, getting their feedback and designing for diverse form factors, demographics and contexts has helped us understand the most critical aspect of great software. That is why we design every piece of software as a consumer product.
Customer personas
Our development efforts always start with a clear definition of ‘Joe the plumber’ or ‘Sally the CMO’. We prefer to flesh out end use personas, quirks and contexts deeply before putting code to complier.
Consumer observation
We like to spend time with end users of the software, observing their behavior to understand how they will actually use your product in their everyday lives or to achieve their everyday tasks.
Storyboarding and role-plays
An iterative, often chaotic and always fun process, we engage select end users in co-creating features, workflows and navigation blueprints. It is intellectually rewarding and saves 20% time on rework on an average.
Wireframes and prototypes
A ‘back of the envelope, top of the mind’ approach defines how we maintain agility and user involvement in refining blueprints and defining UX.
Usability testing
In a rare overlap of art and science, qualitative questioning and advanced eye tracking, over coffee and donuts, we seek inputs from end users and translate them to design insights for the software we finally deliver.
